Daniel S. Zuckerbrod, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He completed his residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, glaucoma, cataract and implant surgery, and LASIK refractive surgery. Dr. Zuckerbrod is one of the first ophthalmologists in Southeast Michigan to perform stenting for the treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Zuckerbrod is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

M. Michael Garin, O.D.. is an optometrist certified by the Michigan Board of Optometry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of Michigan and his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University. He is a consultant to our practice specializing in complex refractions and medically necessary contact lens fits, binocular vision disorders, and low vision. He rotates through all three offices seeing his patients and also sees nursing home residents one day a week.

Ayo-Lynn R. Fifield, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is originally from Huntington Woods, Michigan. She attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, where she graduated with High Honors in Neuroscience. She graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and did her residency at Albany Medical Center. She specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, and enjoys treating all types of eye diseases, as well as performing cataract surgery.

Dr. Megan J. Cowsill, DO is a member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Michigan Ophthalmological Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Associates and the Michigan Osteopathic Association.  She received her doctorate in medicine from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Cowsill conducts eye exams and performs surgical procedures, treating patients for a variety of ophthalmic conditions including cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.

Matthew L. Burman, M.D. of blessed memory (1944 – 2019) was an America Board of Ophthalmology certified Ophthalmologist who always enjoyed seeing his patients. He served the people of Detroit and its surrounding areas for over 40 years. Dr. Burman was a beloved husband, devoted father, loving grandfather and respected colleague. We will always be thankful for all he did for this practice, our patients and the field of Ophthalmology.
